Development

Development refers to building on land, making physical changes to a property, or changing how land or buildings are used. This can include constructing a new building, adding to or altering an existing structure, grading or excavating land, or changing the use of a site. Development requires municipal approval to ensure it complies with the Town of Crossfield’s bylaws and regulations.

Rezoning or subdividing a property are also considered forms of development, and are subject to specific guidelines, policies, and approval processes.
