Presenting to Council

Residents, businesses, community groups, and organizations may request an opportunity to present to Town Council on matters that affect the community.

Presentations to Council provide an opportunity to share information, raise concerns, or request Council’s consideration on a specific topic.

Council meetings are open to the public and are conducted in accordance with the Town’s Council Procedural Bylaw.

Request to Appear Before Council

If you have a matter you wish to discuss with Council, you may request to be placed on an upcoming Council meeting agenda.

Requests must be submitted in writing to the Town Office. Administration will review your request and contact you to confirm your attendance at a meeting.

Requests should include:

  • The topic you wish to discuss
  • The purpose of your presentation
  • Any supporting documents or materials

Meeting Schedule

Regular Town Council meetings are typically held the first and third Tuesday of each month at 6:00 p.m.

Presentations are scheduled as part of the Council meeting agenda.

Preparing Your Presentation

To ensure meetings run efficiently, presenters are asked to:

  • Keep presentations clear and concise
  • Focus on information relevant to the topic
  • Provide any presentation materials in advance if possible
  • Address comments through the Mayor or Chair

Council members may ask questions following the presentation.
