Public Hearings are meetings held by Council where residents can learn about proposed changes and share their input before a decision is made.
Public Hearings are required under Alberta’s Municipal Government Act for certain matters, such as land use bylaw amendments.
A Public Hearing is your opportunity to:
- learn about a proposed bylaw or change
- ask questions or better understand the impact
- share your comments with Council before a decision is made
All feedback received at the Public Hearing is considered by Council before making a decision.
