A Home Office is a business that operates entirely within the home and has no visible or external impact.
Typically includes:
- computer or phone-based work
- no clients visiting the residence
- no deliveries, storage, or on-site production
Must not include:
- additional traffic or parking
- employees on site (other than the resident)
- physical changes to the home for business purposes
A Home Office type of home-based business is a permitted use under the Land Use Bylaw and typically does not require a Development Permit. A valid Business Licence is required prior to operating.
