211 is an essential service that helps Albertans find the right resource or service for whatever issue they need help with, at the right time. 211 is available 24/7 by phone, text, and chat. The service is free, confidential, and available in over 170 languages over the phone.

Alberta Health Services Access to Mental Health provides information, consultation and referral to individuals residing in the Calgary zone and area who have addiction and/or mental health concerns.

Mental health clinicians complete a clinical interview over the telephone to assess the individual's needs. Mental health clinicians are familiar with both Alberta Health Services and community-based programs and will explore all options to refer individuals to the most appropriate resources.

The Addiction Helpline is a toll-free confidential service that provides alcohol, tobacco, other drugs and problem gambling support, information and referral to services. The Addiction Helpline operates 24-hours a day, seven days a week and is available to all Albertans.

Closer to Home provides:

• Family and Community Support: Early Intervention programs designed to prevent stress, crisis, and family breakdowns such as West Central Community Resource Centre, Critical Hours Programming, and K.I.D.S. program
• Preservation: In-Home Family Support programs designed to assist families to recover from crisis or maltreatment and to preserve the family unit and build new positive skills for the future. These include CTH’s continuum of Indigenous-focused programs and the Family Matters program
• Reunification: In-Care Programs that help care for and bring resolution to children and their families after experiencing severe challenges, when a family’s situation has grown dangerous, or beyond their ability to manage and social services are involved
