Financial Statements
At the conclusion of each fiscal year, Administration prepares the Town's annual financial statements in accordance with applicable public sector accounting standards. The statements are then subject to an independent external audit conducted by a qualified accounting firm to ensure accuracy, transparency, and compliance with legislative and regulatory requirements.
The audited financial statements are subsequently presented to Council and made available to the public in accordance with governing legislation.
Annual Reports
In 2025, the Town prepared and published its inaugural Annual Report, formalizing its approach to comprehensive year-end corporate reporting. The report provides an integrated overview of governance activities, strategic initiatives, infrastructure investments, community services, and organizational performance throughout the year.
By consolidating operational highlights, capital project updates, growth initiatives, and financial information into a single document, the Town strengthened transparency, accountability, and public reporting.

Budget
Each year, the Mayor, Council, and Administration work collaboratively to develop and approve the Town of Crossfield’s annual budget. The budgeting process establishes funding priorities, service levels, and capital investment plans to support the community’s needs and long-term sustainability.
The annual budget is typically finalized in April, with Combined Assessment and Property Tax Notices mailed to all ratepayers in early May.
